Check these before you publish the copy
These are places where the code does not fully match a marketing claim, so it is safer to word them carefully:
| Topic |
What the code actually does |
Safe wording |
| “AI recommendations” |
The “Smart AI” option is a frequently-bought-together query on your past orders. There is no AI model. |
“Smart recommendations based on what customers really buy together” |
| Recovery emails for guests |
The tracking script never sends an email address, so carts can be emailed only for logged-in users right now. |
Say “abandoned cart recovery” without promising guest emails, until guest email capture is built (see roadmap #1) |
| Trust badges |
Fixed text and icons in the template (not editable). |
“Trust badges” is fine, “customizable trust badges” is not |
| HPOS / Checkout Blocks |
The code has no HPOS declaration and no Cart / Checkout Blocks handling. |
Do not claim these until they are declared and tested |
| Multi-currency |
Only WooPayments Multi-Currency is handled. |
“Works with WooPayments multi-currency”, not “all currency switchers” |
| “Unlimited” claims |
Not verified in the code. |
Avoid |
Part 2 โ Features to add so the plugin sells better
Effort is my rough guess: S = a few days, M = 1โ2 weeks, L = several weeks. “Tier” is only a suggestion for your free / pro split.
A. Fix first โ these decide whether people buy or refund
| # |
Feature |
Why it matters |
Effort |
Tier |
| A1 |
WooCommerce Cart & Checkout Blocks / block-theme (FSE) support |
New WooCommerce stores use blocks by default. If the cart does not work there, buyers leave. |
MโL |
Free |
| A2 |
HPOS compatibility declaration (and test) |
WooCommerce shows an “incompatible” warning for plugins that do not declare it. It scares away buyers. |
S |
Free |
| A3 |
Accessibility (keyboard, ESC to close, focus trap, ARIA labels) |
Agencies and EU stores ask for it; a good differentiator against cart plugins that skip it. |
M |
Free |
| A4 |
Compatibility with more multi-currency plugins (CURCY, Aelia, WPML/WCML) |
You just did WooPayments; the next most-used ones cover most remaining stores. |
M |
Pro |
| A5 |
Page-cache / CDN friendly mode (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, Cloudflare) |
Most support tickets for cart plugins are cache problems. |
M |
Pro |
B. Revenue features โ the ones buyers compare in reviews
| # |
Feature |
Why it matters |
Effort |
Tier |
| B1 |
Guest email capture (checkout email field + optional exit-intent / add-to-cart popup) |
Right now recovery emails reach only logged-in users; most shoppers are guests. This is the biggest gap in the recovery feature. |
M |
Pro |
| B2 |
Multi-step recovery sequence (for example 1 h, 24 h, 72 h) with a unique coupon in the last email |
One email is the weakest form of recovery. Sequence + coupon is what people look for. |
M |
Pro |
| B3 |
WhatsApp / SMS recovery (link via WhatsApp Click-to-Chat first, then API) |
WhatsApp is the main channel in Bangladesh, India and the Middle East. Few cart plugins offer it. |
MโL |
Pro |
| B4 |
Order bump / one-click add-on in the cart (with a tick box) |
Direct average-order-value increase. |
M |
Pro |
| B5 |
Buy X get Y / quantity-tier discounts (“Buy 2 save 10%”) shown in the cart |
Extends your rewards bar into a full promotion tool. |
M |
Pro |
| B6 |
Free-gift choice (shopper picks 1 of several gifts) and multiple gifts |
Today one fixed gift; choice feels premium. |
SโM |
Pro |
| B7 |
Rewards based on shipping zone / user role / product category |
Stores that ship to several countries need different thresholds. |
M |
Pro |
| B8 |
Cart reservation timer (“Your cart is reserved for 10:00”) |
Simple urgency feature that is easy to show in a demo. |
S |
Pro |
| B9 |
Order note / gift message / gift wrap inside the cart |
Common request for gift shops. |
S |
Free |
| B10 |
Save for later / move to wishlist |
Reduces cart abandonment from price-checking. |
M |
Pro |
C. Proof of results โ makes the plugin easy to justify
| # |
Feature |
Why it matters |
Effort |
Tier |
| C1 |
ROI card on the dashboard: revenue recovered per email step, and average order value before / after the rewards bar |
Shop owners buy what they can see paying for itself. It also gives you real numbers for the landing page. |
M |
Pro |
| C2 |
Funnel report: add to cart โ checkout โ order |
Shows where shoppers drop. |
M |
Pro |
| C3 |
Email open / click tracking and unsubscribe link (consent) |
Needed for trust and for privacy law (GDPR). |
M |
Pro |
| C4 |
Weekly summary email to the shop owner |
Keeps the plugin in the owner’s mind, which lowers refunds and cancellations. |
S |
Pro |
| C5 |
GA4 / Meta Pixel events from the mini cart (add_to_cart, view_cart, begin_checkout) |
Marketing teams ask for it. |
SโM |
Pro |
D. Integrations

FluentCRM / Mailchimp / Brevo / Klaviyo: push abandoned-cart events |
Many stores already send emails from these tools. |

| D2 |
Webhook / Zapier event on abandoned and recovered cart |
Cheap way to connect anything. |
S |

Elementor widget and Gutenberg block for the cart icon and rewards bar |
Page-builder users are a big part of the market. |
SโM |
Pro |

WPML / Polylang / TranslatePress string support |
Multilingual stores skip plugins that cannot translate labels. |

F. Business side
- Plan structure idea: Free = mini cart + basic rewards bar + notifications. Pro = recovery emails, analytics, upsells, delivery estimate. Agency = multi-site license + presets + white-label.
- Free-to-Pro nudges inside the admin (locked-feature cards with a screenshot).
- Public changelog and roadmap page โ shows the plugin is alive.
- Short demo videos for each headline feature (rewards bar, recovery email, analytics).
- Show real numbers on the landing page once C1 exists.
Suggested build order
- A2, A1 โ compatibility first (HPOS declaration is small, Blocks is the bigger job).
- B1 + B2 โ guest email capture and a multi-step recovery sequence with coupons. It turns the recovery feature from “basic” to “sellable”.
- C1 โ ROI card on the dashboard, so buyers can see the value.
- E1 + E2 โ presets and setup wizard for the first-minute experience.
- B3 โ WhatsApp recovery, a strong differentiator for your main markets.
- Then B4 / B5 (order bump, buy X get Y) and the integrations.
These are suggestions from reading the code and general product judgment. Check them against competitor plugins and your own customer requests before committing.
